The staff were so grateful to all the residents at Timberlog during lockdown. The clapping each week, lifted our spirits. One resident even created a poster for us each week to say thank you. It’s not been an easy time for us, but we’re all well, so we’re very grateful for that.

We made use of our garden, and the fine weather in September, and invited a musician to come and play. The residents really enjoyed it. We also ordered an afternoon tea, which came beautifully packaged and tasted delicious.

One resident enjoyed the afternoon so much he paid for the musician to visit us in the garden again. Being able to request the songs and join in the singing was wonderful.

Our manager, Sian, got a new car recently and the residents took part in a ‘name that car’ competition. It’s little things like this, and the take away fish and chip suppers we’ve enjoyed that have helped to keep the spirits up.

The house is now decorated for Halloween, and we’ll be carving some pumpkins and enjoying some Halloween themed cupcakes too.
