This is always a lovely time of year at Timberlog. So many activities and visitors for us, and this year has been no exception. A band came in to play and residents from the Abbeyfield House in Billericay came along to enjoy the music too. We’ve already got a trip planned in the New Year to go and visit them in Billericay.

The residents (or elves) have been busy making mince pies, Christmas cakes, Christmas puddings and hampers. Plus, they’ve made some beautiful decorations that we’ve displayed around the house. The front of Timberlog House has been decorated and with three trees inside, it’s certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Vocal cords are also nicely warmed up thanks to some pupils visiting from a local school and the local church stopping by. Both sessions were a chance to sing carols and enjoy a mince pie (or two).

And Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a Christmas meal. We all went to the Magic Mushroom in Billericay for a lovely dinner. And we’ve had a home cooked Christmas lunch at the house too. Our annual Christmas party was a great success and the money raised from the raffle will go towards a day out for residents in the New Year.

We’re all ready for Christmas now and are looking forward to more goings on in 2020.
