December has been very busy at Timberlog but it’s been wonderful to enjoy all the festivities. It’s been a great end to the year.

Our Christmas party included party food, music and a raffle, which raised £220 for the house. The money raised will go towards days out and activities in 2019.

The infants at St Teresa’s Catholic School came to visit us and sing carols. Everyone enjoyed taking and they stayed for some party food afterwards.

Another Christmas staple at Timberlog is our Christmas lunch. This year, the residents enjoyed a delicious five-course meal, complete with paper hats. Everyone had a good afternoon (and was very full up).

Our singing voices were put to the test again when we were visited by the junior pupils at St Teresa’s Catholic School. As well as singing some beautiful carols with the residents, they stopped to chat to everybody afterwards. We’ve definitely all warmed up our vocal chords now.

Friends of Abbeyfield dropped by to play scrabble with some of the residents. And despite all the visitors, we found time for our regular baking sessions. This month, residents finally got to ice their Christmas cakes and they made Yule Logs.

We’re looking forward to New Years Eve at the house and more laughs in 2019.
