We’ve had a lovely month at Timberlog, with much singing, dancing and celebration.

Our neighbour very kindly came in to run a karaoke session with us one evening. We were so grateful for his time, as the residents really enjoyed it. There were a couple of microphones so anyone who wanted to join in got the chance.

We sang again to celebrate Ian’s 85th birthday. He kindly bought everyone a delicious fish and chip lunch, and his family brought in cakes for us all (well it wouldn’t be a party without some cake). The party went on all afternoon and it was a lovely way for Ian to celebrate his special day with his family.

Halloween was a chance for us to decorate the house with spooky decorations. And some residents and staff got into the spirit with fancy dress.

We also had a dancer called Lily Laurence who visited us to do a dance show. The residents joined in and really enjoyed it.

The weeks are flying by, so this month we used one of our weekly cake making sessions to bake our Christmas cakes. The house smelt lovely and we’re looking forward to decorating them nearer the big day.

Our monthly yoga session continues to be a big success. The residents are really enjoying it and I think we’re all starting to feel the health benefits too.
