The weather still feels far from Spring-like, but with the clocks changing and Easter falling early this year, we did our best to make sure that things at Octagon remained warm and cheerful. On 28th March we held an afternoon tea for residents, their families and friends. It was a jolly, sociable occasion, featuring all sorts of delicious goodies – and as you can see from the pictures, Maureen entered into the spirit of the occasion by donning a pair of bunny ears!

The event culminated in the drawing of our raffle, which had five lovely Easter themed prizes up for grabs – including Spring plants and of course, chocolate! In a very fortuitous result, each prize was won by a member of a different family, which kept everyone happy. What’s more, we raised an impressive £226 for the residents’ fund.

The event left our Octagon residents eagerly looking forward to Easter weekend itself and with the promise of bingo, quizzes, games and film to entertain them, it was sure to be an eggs-citing one!
