At Abbeyfield we go to great lengths to ensure that our houses are welcoming and homely, somewhere that the family and friends of our residents enjoy spending time. This was certainly the case recently when the Octagon held a well-attended coffee morning, to raise money for the residents’ fund.
Our staff got into the spirit of the Great British Bake Off by making a variety of delicious cakes to sell to visitors and the comfortable lounge was soon buzzing with the hum of numerous conversations, as residents socialised with friends and loved ones.
While they enjoyed their tea, coffee and cake, we also held a raffle with several gifts and nice sets of toiletries as prizes, which added another £127.50 to the fund. Thanks to all involved and we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
