For many people the run up to Christmas is filled with a host of social activities and for our residents that was certainly the case. The fun began early, with a Christmas lunch at The Shepherd & Dog pub in Noak Bridge, on Tuesday 8th December.

After a tasty roast turkey meal with plenty of meat and trimmings, traditional Christmas pudding and their choice of drinks from the bar, the Abbeyfield gang were in high spirits. There was plenty of chat, laughter, a sing song and even an impromptu Paso Doble demonstration!

“It was a lovely festive gathering with friends, a great start to Christmas” said Val.

“An excellent meal with excellent company. A wonderful trip. Many thanks to Karen and staff” added Ted.

By the sounds of it, the pub can expect another visit from our happy bunch of Octogenarians – perhaps at Easter!
